I have started the preparation for the consecration on the feast of the Assumption(15 August) and would like to encourage everyone to do the same. If you are already consecrated it is a great thing to renew that consecration each year. I am learning so much, even though I have read True Devotion to Mary previously. I am also praying more and have found comfort in praying the full 15 mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary daily. It is summer now and here in the desert we are feeling it. It was 104 Sunday, 102 Yesterday and 101 today before we got a thunderstorm. God bless and have a great day.

Today is likely to prove among the most important days of my life. I was enrolled and invested in the Brown Scapular at Our Lady of Guadalupe Monastery in Silver City, NM by Rev. Fr. Gabriel, O.S.B. I must say I don't know how my life will turn out, but I do know the ending and I know that the battle being waged here on earth will be won and Our Blessed Lord and His Blessed Mother will be victorius over satan and his evil menions.

 

I found the Traditional Mass and the Society several years ago, in 2004 during a time in my life when I was searching for something, which turned out to be G-d. I found G-d and his Blessed Mother at a small chapel is southern North Carolina, in the town of Mt. Holly where a group of Catholics and a very Holy Priest, Rev. Fr. Novak were celebrating the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. I knew I had found the truth then, but only returned there once more due to my work situation. Now in 2009 I have rediscovered Tradition and a group of Holy monks here in Silver City, NM. In between was a period in which I steadily got disgusted with the outrageous abuses in nearly every parish I went to. I have longed for some time for the Catholic faith that those before 1962 practiced and have found that in only a few parishes, namely those run by the Society and those by the Institute of Christ the King, Sovereign Priest. Deo Gratias, I have finally found the True Faith and hopefully will be able to live that faith through the rest of my life.
